An annual Chicago event coming up at the end of August (August 25 to August 27) is the answer that many franchisors are looking for. Three years ago, a business-powerhouse saw a problem and did something about it by creating the Franchise Capital Exchange (FCX). Franchise Capital Exchange is the only event of its kind where franchisors present their business opportunities to potential investors in an effort to secure capital to fuel their future.
This event is a one-stop-shop where brands and capital partners come together and can pitch themselves to multiple parties. The event allows for cost and time efficiencies as well as encourages networking and learning opportunities.
The brain behind this revolutionary idea is that of Susan Black-Beth, Chief Operating Officer for Super Wash, Inc., who was literally born into the business world. Susan comes from a family of entrepreneurs and grew up in a family business and started working when she was 4 years old.
Susan bought her first business (Super Wash rehab) when she was 19 yrs old
Susan was a multi-unit franchisee for 9 years
She started a professional speaking business in 2010 (33 yrs old)
She started Franchise Capital Exchange (originally known as "Dealmakers' Summit) in 2012 (35 yrs old)
Overall, Susan started 3 companies by the time she was 35
In segment 2, you will hear Marty McDermott, the President of Franchise Interviews, on WVOX radio discussing franchising and branding.
When artists Beth Whitney and Bradford Loomis began writing together, they had no idea their casual co-writing experiment would blossom into the much anticipated album THE BANNER DAYS. That first night they wrote "My Beloved" in two hours. After a few more writing sessions, it waws clear to both that these songs merited a bold decision. From the first time they played together, along with Beth's husband/collaborator, Aaron Fishburn, the chemistry has been powerful. The combination of Beth's delicate, pure and melodious voice and Brandfords soulful, growling tone make for a beautifully heart wrenching harmonious blend. http://www.thebannerdays.com http://www.facebook.com/bannerdays

Laurie Beth will share with author and blogger, Christian Piatt this week as he releases his #PostChristian book and begins a book tour to promote his message and desire to make a difference in the Church and in life.
As thousands walk away from the church, everyone is wondering: will faith survive the 21st century? Some see the end of morality, others a fitting demise to an oppressive institution. What is clear—is that Christianity as we know it is coming to an end. Fearless and provocative, postChristian offers a roadmap to the future of faith, beginning with an unflinching examination of the church today. Piatt examines the “seven scandals of Christianity”: pride, certainty, lust, greed, judgment, fear, and envy. Piatt writes that these vices have made Christianity “responsible for, or at least complicit in, some of the worst atrocities in history.” But he doesn’t advocate abandoning religion altogether, as he equally examines Christianity’s seven virtues—humility, faith, love, charity, mercy, courage, and justice.
Bold and insightful, postChristian dares Christians to break out of the box and invites outsiders into the fold as together they revolutionize faith for a postmodern world.
CHRISTIAN PIATT is an author, editor, speaker, musician and spoken word artist. Piatt has been featured on NPR's Morning Edition, The Washington Post, Huffington Post, and Sojourners.

When artists Beth Whitney and Bradford Loomis began writing together, they had no idea their casual co-writing experiment would blossom into the much anticipated album The Banner Days (releasing August 23rd on MTS Records).
From the first time they played together, along with Beth’s husband/collaborator Aaron Fishburn, the chemistry has been powerful. The combination of Beth’s delicate, pure, and melodious voice and Bradford’s soulful, growling tone makes for a beautifully heart wrenching harmonious blend.
Their dramatic crescendos, minimalist intensity, through intricate harmonies have elicited comparisons to The Civil Wars, the Swell Season, and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss’ Raising Sand.
With equal parts sweetly anthemic, pop tinged folk, provided by Beth, and Bradford’s gritty, passionate Americana Roots sound, The Banner Days is an intrepid step for both artists.
Please check out them out at here ---> http://thebannerdays.com/
The chat room will be opened for questions and comments - see you then!!
Thanks very much for your continued support.

We will share some of the view points of the younger set, while reminising about those "Old School Days" gone by. How were YOU raised?!!!
What didn't our parents allow... That the younger generation "expects" today?
We'll discuss disipline, reward systems and ask the question... "Why does this generation expect, demand and require so much?
Why has respect of self and the senior generation fell off the radar and no longer exists on the map?
Some if not most of the answers can be found in parenting...

We are a voice for junior hockey teams, and by proxy, we were your access to games, locker rooms, and first-hand experiences that normally are not provided.
We have been given a chance to be part of this small history in media and will continue bringing our fans new, truthful and hot hockey topics from Junior Hockey.
