There has been so much spoken about how women 'should' be that perhaps we've forgotten to be ourselves. Patty Azar from Vision Alignment tells us why we should elmininate 'just', 'sorry' and 'lucky' from our vocabulary and learn to say NO more often as a way to serve our needs more authentically and to learn to not only value ourselves a whole lot more but be compensated by our real value. If you are bringing up girls, ready to get back into the workforce or want to improve your quality of life, then don't miss out on this pep talk from Patty. It will not only leave you feeling inspired to honour your own value but also give you straight shooting tools in which to be compensated for it! You can find out more at www.vision-alignment.com and follow her radio show/podcast The Magnificent Leader.
Keith Handy has been composing, arranging, performing, recording, and producing original music since his childhood in the early 1980s, primarily, but not exclusively, in the style of progressive or "art" rock, including several concept albums and a rock opera.
Early on, he functioned primarily as keyboard player and support vocalist for various original and cover bands, but soon decided it was more important to focus on continued artistic growth than to navigate the internal politics of band membership. He started acquiring recording gear, learning the guitar, and going ever deeper with the crafts of arrangement and production.
In line with Keith's passion for the continual study of the creative process in all forms, he has since branched out into improv comedy (incorporating copious amounts of improvised music), computer art, programming in C++ for generative art and signal processing, puppetry and puppet making, and video editing.
Still a studio hermit, his long term goal is to make the bulk of his work available as a "box set" type multimedia package, as well as have a chunk of that collection visually interpreted as video and theatre.
When not immersed in all this complicated stuff, he is happy to drink a beer or two and play a few old songs on an acoustic guitar at your backyard fire.
"SHAMANIC ANIMAL SPIRIT GUIDES"
In the shamanic belief every thing is alive and carries with it power and wisdom. Power animals are an essential component of shamanic practice. They are the helping spirit which add to the power of the shaman and are essential for success in any venture undertaken by the shaman. Shamans believe that everyone has power animals – animal spirits which reside with each individual adding to their power and protecting them from illness, acting similarly to a guardian angel. Each power animal that you have increases your power so that illnesses or negative energy cannot enter your body.
Everyone Has a Power Animal
Everyone is thought to have a few of these guardian power animals, from childhood on. Over the course of her or his life the person may have several. If a power animal leaves and one does not come to take its place the individual is considered, by the shaman, to be disempowered and therefore vulnerable to illness and bad luck. Power animal retrieval is a healing where the shaman goes to find a new power animal for you.
Honoring Power Animals
It is important to honor your power animal. In shamanic work the power animal is essential, for a shaman who has no power is not going to have very good results. On a personal level, by honoring your power animal you let it know that its assistance is appreciated.
Finding Your Power Animal
If you would like to find out who your power animal is, consulting a shamanic practitioner is an option. But to discover this on you own, you can ask for a dream and see if anything comes up. You can ask the power animal to show itself to you and if you start seeing one or another animal frequently that would be its way of revealing itself to you.
On tonight's episode of Talking in Circles, Clayton has the week off, and we bring in John Harlow from BeyondtheFlag.com for his tutelage on the sport.
We'll talk about the racing we saw at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend. What'd ya'll think of the new package that NASCAR put out there? Why was attendance and ratings down for this week?
Kyle Busch won the Crown Royal Presents the Jeff Kyle 400 @ the Brickyard, and it's his third straight win and fourth in five races.
We'll talk about Kyles' dominance and why Brandon thinks this stretch of races for Kyle Busch is much more impressive than people know.
We'll also discuss strategies of Tony Stewart and David Ragan last Sunday at Indianapolis. They chose short pitting. Brandon and John will discuss these strategies and whether or not they work in this era of NASCAR.
We'll talk about Jeff Gordon's day, and how he did in his final start at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Brandon will go on in saying that NASCAR is at fault for ruining the storyline that they had going into the race.
We'll also talk about the NASCAR Xfinity Series race in Indianapolis, and of course the Eldora dirt race for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
The race in Eldora was phenominal and created buzz for race fans all around the country. Is it time for Xfinity or Cup even to go dirt racing? Why or why not? And Kyle Petty said some interesting quotes about this on NASCAR America following the Eldora race, and Brandon will try and dispute those comments.
Also, we'll talk about race winner Christopher Bell, and the man of the hour in the truck series, Bobby Pierce and why their futures in NASCAR is up in the air.
And also, Danica's sponsorship, and some interesting stuff going down at MWR.

Join me tonight as I chat with Janet Surrey, a Buddhist dharma leader and clinical psychologist internationally known for her work on relational theories of women's psychological development, diversity, mothering, adoption and substance abuse as we discuss her new book, The Buddha's Wife. Tune in and learn about the Princess Yasodhara and why her story matters in the 21st century. Hear about this demystification of the Buddha's sacred myth and how Yasodhara's story represents the inequalities that are still present in many traditional religions and faiths.
This week we have the one and only Arthur Boorman to the show on Wednesday! Arthur is not only the most famous success story in DDPYOGA history, he's an amazing school teacher, so this is your last chance to hear him live before his academic grind resumes in a few weeks.
As always, Arthur will talk openly about how he changed his thinking and lifestyle to make his remarkable transformation in weight lost and strength built stick. We all know Arthur from his unforgettable YouTube video of how he went from walking on canes for 15 years to a lean and mean DDPYOGA warrior! But the video was made nearly a decade ago. Hear how America's symbol of "Never Give Up" stays the course for years...and YEARS. Arthur will take questions ranging from motivation, how to master challenging positions, and how to work around injuries.
Tonight co-hosts and Mediums Pamela Marie Edmunds and June Elaine Evans welcome to the show Author and Medium Maxine Meilleur. They will be discussing Maxine's book "Great Moments of Modern Mediumship, Volume 1."
More About Maxine Meilleur;
Maxine's journey in the religion and service of Spiritualism began in the early 1980's. She was a personal student of the Rev. June Bletzer of St. Petersburg, Florida and author of the ground-breaking "The Encyclopedic Psychic Dictionary." She helped in the editing of this work that was admitted before its time and helped Reverend Bletzer earn the second ever PhD granted in the United States. Much later, Maxine began a 10 year relationship with the Arthur Findlay College in the United Kingdom where several of tutors and Ministers are her confidants and friends. She is a Master of Divinity candidate at Harvard Divinity School - where she is the first working medium there since Harvard expelled Frederic Willis for conducting seances in 1857! She is the author of "Great Moments of Modern Mediumship: Volume I" with "Great Moments of Modern Mediumship: Volume II" due out shortly. She is passionate about evidential, responsible and ethical mediumship. Although she does intuitive readings almost everyday, her joy is the trance state.
