Rod Thorn, the NBA's dean of discipline, has a tough decision to make. Should Dwight Howard's elbowing foul against Andrew Bogut from Game 4 of the Western Conference finals be upgraded to a flagrant-2, which would force Howard to miss Game 5.
The precedent is there, whether it was Al Horford getting ejected from Game 3 of the Atlanta-Cleveland series or J.R. Smith getting suspended two games for elbowing Jae Crowder of Boston during the first round.
Elbows to the head are a serious matter .... but so, too, is keeping the NBA playoffs interesting ... and keeping them on the air for as many days as possible before everything shuts down for a week prior to the start of the NBA Finals. All in all, this year's playoffs have not been great.
Let's face it ... the Rockets probably have no shot whatsoever in Game 5 if Howard is suspended.
And let's face this, too: The NBA has a vested interest in having a competitive Game 5 in Oakland, whether or not the Rockets can extend it to a Game 6.
So what do I expect Thorn to do? And how will that news be, ahem, announced?
The answers come in this podcast with Newy Scruggs on NBCSports Radio early Tuesday morning.
TONIGHT ON THE SHOW (LIVE at 8:00 PM EST): Andrew has a problem with both the Miami HEAT fanbase and the Cleveland Cavaliers fanbase. LeBron James starts a campaign to make Tristan Thompson a "Cavalier for life". Are Tim Duncan's San Antonio Spurs better than Bill Russell's Boston Celtics? "Homosexuality is a behavior. Not a civl right." That according to Restrain the Judges. And that leads right back into sports with the whole Michael Sam-CFL hoopla! Former New Orleans Saints WR Joe Horn calls Roger Goodell "the devil". What will NFL quarterback contracts look like in the next 10 years? Is it pretty much safe to say that Johnny Manziel is officially a bust? A$AP Rocky has three orgies while on LSD! The marijuana movement keeps progressing! And is Obama's daughter getting married......in exchange for cows, sheep and goats?? PLUS MORE!!! You can call into the show at (929) 477-1592 and you can tweet the show @andrewrpowell or @305SportsNLife! The Andrew Powell Show w/ Darrin Williamson and Eric Robinson is LIVE Sunday-Thursday from 8-10 PM EST here on MSL Radio and rebroadcasted NATIONALLY Monday-Friday 11AM-1PM EST/8-10 AM PST on WGTS-DB.

Welcome to "The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab", hosted by "The Mad Scientist of Sports" Nick Ficorelli. This is not the average everyday sports show he is bringing to the air waves. "The Mad Scientist" has created his own personal sports lab, and you, the audience, as well as many of his special guests, will be his test subjects. He will throw theories out, and you never know where they will be coming from. He will keep everyone guessing, and he will open his lab to any and all comers. And this time, he is bringing in his top apprentice to help him run the lab - "Stat Boy" Andrew Gluchov, formerly of WTMY 1280AM Sarasota and The Sports Chronicles Radio Network. Be prepared for "mad science" sports talk at its best.
Our special guest "Test Subject" tonight at 10pm EST is Donte Rumph, former SEC standout who has a very compelling story to tell following his stint with the Atlanta Falcons. Also, he will let us know about his tryout with the New York Giants, and what is next for him in and out of football. Other guest "Test Subjects" will be: 1030pm, Ralph Cindrich, NFL Agent who will talk about his career and his upcoming book "NFL Brawler"; 11pm Lowell Moore founder of What A Fan, who will explain what is What A Fan, how it came about, and the annual conference they have every Labor Day Weekend; and 1130pm David Spada, co-host of "Sports and Torts" on TalkZone, and co-author of Talking Football (Hall Of Famers' Remembrances) Volume 1.
The beacons are lit, the experiments are on the chalk board, and the test subjects are at the ready. The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab is now OPEN for business.

The Andrew Dixon Foundation is to develop self- esteem and motivate youth through the eyes of baseball. The past 3 years has been developing baseball throughout Jamaica primary schools, certifying and teaching
. Along with the annual back to school and Christmas projects give-a-ways. It has been brought to my attention that one of the rural primary schools St. Elizabeth "St. Mary's primary school" is without proper bathroom facilities. We have agreed to take on this project to build two bathroom facilities for this school, which we are seeking support and donations to help complete this project. The cost of this project is estimated at $20,000.00 US and our portion is $10,000.00 half of the cost. The Jamaican government is willing to assist us with the remaining balance. The families of the students who attends the school will be assisting by contributing labor and other help as well. The bathrooms will consist of 4 commodes for the girls, 3 commodes for the boys with 3 urinals, 2 sinks will be provided in both along with the basic doors. We will provide photos of the existing bathrooms with current conditions students has endured for the past years. We kindly thank you in advance for your assistance and all donation proceeds. All amounts are highly appreciated. Once, again thanks for your support. Sincerely Andrew Dixon Foundation Andrew Dixon
