With all the new data collecting devices on the market today, many athletes are still reluctant to employ heart rate as a principal guide in their training, this is really unfortunate. Of all the feedback one could obtain heart rate training, remains the most important ally regarding how or if the body is adapting to training. Our host Richard Diaz and his guest Maggie Legan, Elite OCR athlete, discuss VO2max testing, how to put a good training prescription to work that will improve endurance; help you resist fatigue when the going gets tough and how running skill fits into the picture.
This episode of A Sound Heart will explore the importance of being spiritually liberated from damaging negative emotions within the sphere of the flesh(Gk.Sarx). Negative emotions originate from darkness within the soul. Darkness (Gk. Skotia) means the consequences of darkness that torments the soul in search of peace. Negative emotions can pull the soul toward a spiritual abyss. Negative thoughts and emotions may have profound physiologic consequences. Jesus is the Great Physician of the soul, he offers rest to those who come to him with awful and controlling burdens that have created a chronic to-muchness in the soul.
The topics of this show are based on Lakota Star Knowledge and may include viewing current events from the Ancient Lakota perspective. This show's objective is perpetuate peace among all people, as the foundation of all universes is based on "Mitakuye Oyas'in". The Lakota Star Knowledge definition of "Mitakuye Oyas'in" is that before you can be at peace with all the relatives throughout all universes, you must first have peace among all the relatives within your own inner universe. The mind, body, soul and emotions are all connected to each other. When you do your best in nurturing these four parts, you will establish peace within yourself. Only then are you able to be at peace with all creation around you.

Gospel of Matthew 5: 1 Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them.3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Being like God the Father is the lifestyle of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit is geared to leading Christians to that kind of life. The feedstock of God the Father is His knowledge taught by the Holy Spirit develops faith in Him. This is the desire of Father God for His children. Every time a Christian has the passion to seek the heart of God Satan is angry and this serves him right for trying to overthrow Father God in heaven. I encourage you to follow this pattern for your life. I love you!
Godz Messenger Brought up in a family that attended church regularly (on Sundays), I was one who believed that GOD was real, but I didn't understand or experience the power and essence of HIS love. I knew I didn't want to end up or go to that place called hell. I got to a point where I didn't want to go to Church anymore, due to a desire of becoming a professional basketball player. I also fed on singing love songs because it brought attention, as well as girls.
As time passed on I had to make a choice between basketball and singing. I analyzed my height and injured knee, it was easy to make a decision. Singing was the choice, I could stand way in the back and let Troy Sanders, Vaughn Burks, and Carlos Munoz (members of the Finest Hour), do the lead singing.
