We will be talking to Allen and Linda Anderson about their newest book "A Dog Named Leaf" ... the Hero from Heaven that Saved My Life.
This book is about a dramatic journey that explores intangibles of health and healing without attempting to explain them away.. It is a remarkable story that will affirm your faith in the unique and mutually healing bond that can be formed between humans and animals.
This is truly the most unusual dog book ever. Readers will feel as if they know Leaf, and they will grow to love him too.
Every once in a great while, a book comes along that reaffirms the belief that Spirit speaks to us through our animal companions and that our pets specifically choose us…to help heal our brokenness and reflect the inner spark of God that is in each of us. This is one of them.
Allen Anderson’s highly acclaimed memoir, A Dog Named Leaf: The Hero from Heaven Who Saved My Life, tells his dramatic journey of adopting Leaf, a traumatized year-old cocker spaniel. The mutual healing of this man and this dog offers valuable insights and hope to anyone who has faced the prospect of losing everything.
Learn how a scared little dog became a big hero to Allen as he faced life-threatening brain surgery. Leaf arrived just in time to reassure Allen through his extended near-death experience, which consisted of a life review, seeing a mystical light, assurance that he wasn’t finished living, prophetic dreams and visions.
While trying to heal this beloved dog back to emotional wholeness, a series of miraculous revelations (facilitated by Leaf) soon proved to Allen that Leaf was actually helping him in his own journey of Faith, Surrender and Unconditional Love. Tune in to learn about the inspirational chain of events that led to the profound bond between a frightened, abandoned dog and tough, former City Police Officer and how they helped each other heal.
Allen and his wife Linda founded the Angel Animals Network in 1996. Their 15 books about the spiritual qualities of animals have been featured on Oprah.com, the Today Show, ABC’s Nightly News, among many others.
The American Society of Journalist and Authors (ASJA) selected A Dog Named Leaf as a winner of the prestigious 2013 ASJA Awards.

This is a different kind of true story with implications that may shake some. I personally know that my experience is a provocative, entertaining, often humorous, yet gut-wrenching new story that will cause a paradigm shift in how people view possibilities for relating to other species. My hunch is that your many dog loving fans and listeners will be excited that someone has finally revealed the truth about what happens in homes every day -- animals and people are connecting at levels of conscious soul awareness that confound anything science has been able to prove or replicate.
I want to share with you and fans of your show the dramatic often humorous experiences that happened as Leaf, my emotionally scarred rescued dog, and I came together at exactly the right time. After I found out I had both a brain aneurysm that could burst and a blood clot aimed at my heart, this traumatized little dog and I became comrades battling for our lives. Amazing how many hilarious often surreal stories are based on this seemingly harsh experience. My story also adds the twist of startling revelations about the ability of dogs to know the unknowable. This One Step - Older Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse
Wednesdays we talk about finding support after breaking our silence.
Polly Moore grew up with six siblings in Mobile, Alabama, but was only 8 years old when her father died of lung cancer. Soon two neighborhood boys began to molest her, friends of her older twin brothers. A couple of years later she was assaulted by another neighbor and later by her older brother. She was able to break away from the abuse at the age of twelve, but was by then deep in the darkness of isolation. Polly is now a mother and grandmother, and has lived in Atlanta for the past 15 years. She is contemplating returning to finish her final year at Western Carolina University where she majored in Accounting, and has become a devoted advocate for adult survivors of Child Sexual Abuse.
She began her organization, This One Step, to help older survivors of Child Sexual Abuse deal with the trama of being part of what she has named, "The Unknown Generation" A generation of survivors who had nowhere to go for support. In her late teens she began writing as a coping mechanism to deal with the PTSD. Her three books, "Cider Blocks and Oven Racks", "Billy Wayne's Christmas Train" and "The Unknown Generation" will be available in early 2016. She has written many southern short stories which have been published in different publications. She is now hosting her own blogtalk radio show Monday through Friday beginning at 6:00am.
Every now and again, someone decides it's time to speak up and speak out about what is truly going on 'behind the scenes' of what the rest of us believe is a normal way of life. On this show, we have had people like Randy Cramer (Captain Kaye), Max Steel, Miesha Johnson, Hon. Paul Hellyer and more come out and tell us that what we truly think we know isn't necessarily what it seems.
Recently, a gentleman named Sgt. Daniel Brad MacBolen has come out to talk about CERN, Area 51 and black ops. He has had enough. What bothers him is what's happening right under people's noses, due to shadow governments and the cabal in general. He's tired of seeing good people, like you and me, get played by a false reality. He feels it's time to get his message out.
Dan was born into the Military Industrial Complex as a Slave to a MKUltra Project, but through a series of manifested miracles he fell through the cracks to find a new life, where being Loving & Lovable, has led him to an understanding of how to escape the prison of the mindset of this present Corporate World & all of its entrapments. He feels it's now his job and mantra to help others to escape this Prison to begin new lives & a new journey for themselves,by becoming Free-Moral Agents in Service-To-Others.
