Sam Thurman, Cliff Stewart and Lisa Stewart of the Colorado exoneration firm A Just Cause, discuss what happens when the wheels of justice trample unbridled over the rights of innocent Americans.
Although the American system of justice is the most-respected worldwide, it is still a system designed, and operated, by humans, which means it's not perfect. Sam, Cliff, and Lisa will highlight ongoing struggles against "the system" to free wrongfully imprisoned people, and what happens when justice miscarries against an actually innocent person.

If you've been listening to The NY Hip Hop Report for any of the past 99 episodes, you'll know that we have been discussing all of the hot button issues that are currently the talk of hip hop music and culture.
The balance of old school and new. The legacy and perception of NY hip hop. Problems with commercial rap radio. The terrible state of hip hop journalism. Women in hip hop. Hip hop culture vs. rap music culture.
All while reporting on the events, organizations, artists, releases & issues in the diverse NY hip hop ecosystem.
For more than two years, we have opened our platform to you, and gave you a chance to speak your mind.
It's been a great run!
For this milestone, we welcome a guest who helps makes our 100th episode feel so special. An artist/advocate who is speaking about these very same issues, through his music & multiple interview appearances, constantly dropping jewels.
Now, he'll join us, the show that uniquely represents New York City hip hop like no other.
Please join us as we welcome Queensbridge veteran, Cormega, fresh off the release of his highly acclaimed album, Mega Philosophy, produced entirely by the iconic Large Professor.
We'll talk with Mega about his project, life & career, the state of "the industry" and its future, to try and glean some vital philosophy.
Later in the show, we'll talk to Majesty, a brother who works with several NY-based hip hop organizations, including the long-running weekly showcase End of the Weak. Majesty will be speaking about the upcoming one year anniversary of Legendary Cyphers, the weekly, outdoor gathering of MCs and hip hop heads that lights up Union Square Park every Friday.
Of course, we'll also bring some new releases to the show, and as always, take your calls.
Tune in, and welcome the start of our next 100 episodes!
As group consciousness becomes more prevalent in modern society, many people without realizing it are through thought and then intention part of the energy field which is self-sustaining and creates further growth from their original thought. It is called The 100th monkey effect, as was first discovered whilst observing a group of Japanese snow monkeys. One monkey adopts a policy or an action, soon a second adopts the same policy, then more and more monkey’s adopt until it reaches critical mass and then pretty much from there on in there is no stopping it, all have adopted even the same species across the other side of the world.
We humans have used this realization to our own benefit and have called it The Maharishi effect, it was discovered that if one per cent of the square route of a local population meditated on lowering crime or reducing drunkenness or even reducing violence, then the outcome from that meditation must happen. This has been proven in Washington DC where 4000 people gathered to meditate on lowering crime, they did this for 6 weeks, allowing for all the variables, weather, time of day, demographics and even took into consideration trends etc, the result still showed a massive reduction in violent crime. In UK, Liverpool which was regarded as having a high crime rate experienced the same outcome. During the war in Lebanon taking into account all the parameters, there was a drop in violence and death for the period of meditation focusing on peace. So what does this mean, as a collective can we control the outcome of government policy? Can we create our own world and not leave it to chance? Does all this mean that we are one with all life forms including the universe? All these questions are answered in the show The 100th monkey and Maharishi effect
