Jason Martin Castillo, Musician, Entrepreneur, Arcovert, Kickstarter rebroadcas

    in Entrepreneur

    (164) Jason Martin Castillo, Musician, Entrepreneur, Arcovert, Kickstarter

One of our teachers at my school recommended that we check out this website

Because one of our former students Jason Martin Castillo, is a brilliant musician who graduated from the Berkley School of Music a couple of years ago He has a project for which he needs monetary funding, and I think it would be a wonderful opportunity for this staff to support one of their own.  I had been reading a book about Entrepreneurship and using Kickstarter to fund new projects and careers. I made a contribution and did some research and though I would give Mr. Castillo a call and learn more about his project and his goals

Jason Martin Castillo is a film composer from Los Angeles. Melinda Garcia is a recording and audio mixing engineer who also works in film. He has scored projects ranging from network television shows to feature length films with worldwide distribution. Melinda has recorded and mixed orchestras, and live instruments of all shapes and sizes for film. Together they created Arcovert. Arcovert is a film festival, a community, and a collective of filmmakers and composers collaborating on film projects with the goal to have them screened with the scores performed live by a musical ensemble.

My actual website is sotsproductions.com or jasonmartincastillo.com (they link to the same site)

    Thanks!

    in Entertainment

Do you have a creative project you'd love to see come to life, but don't have the funds? Kickstarter can help.
Kickstarter is a way for folks to find funding for their creative projects. Want to make an indie movie? Record a CD? Produce a play? Kickstarter helps you find like minded people willing to "kickstart" your project  with some much needed funds.
All of the filmmakers, musicians, artists, and designers you see on Kickstarter have complete control and responsibility over their own projects.
Candi & Randy talk to Emmy Award winning writer Leslie Nipkow and Broadway veteran T Oliver Reid about their successes with the program.??
Every project creator sets their project's funding goal and deadline. If the project succeeds in reaching its funding goal all backers' credit cards are charged when time expires. If the project falls short no one is charged.??
Since it's launch in April 2009:     •    $331 million pledged to projects     •    2.6 million people have backed a project     •    28,000 projects successfully funded
