Wesley Beeks Jr. Ramone Smith is an adjunct college profssor at Boricua College, is an IPEC trained Life Coach, he has a M.A. in Political Science from Long Island University, a B.A. in Sociology from Kean University and is the author of African American Healthy Self Esteem. He has traveled throughout the United State and Latin America and has studied the progress of people of African descent to measure realistically how much progress has been made since slavery and Jim Crow ended. He is convinced that one of the reasons there is still such a societal lag for African Americans is due to low self-esteem and a poor self-image that is perpetuated by the macro social institutions. He is committed to eradicating this psychological conditioning and helping all minorities improves their self-esteem and the quality of their lives. J. Wesley Beeks, Jr. he has a BS in Human Services from Boricua College, has been a case manager for several years and has served as a community organizer designing, creating and implementing social media campaigns to address issues of HIV, STD’s, mental health and homelessness for ATOP (Associated Trauma Outreach and Prevention) agency and community based organizations.   He is also a photographer, writer and visual artist using creative art therapy to outreach to populations to appreciate their genius and create a therapeutic discourse.
