Shannon graduated with honors from Pacific University with her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 1992; her thesis was titled, “Pet Therapy and its Effects on Elderly Nursing Home Residents”.
Shannon worked in human acute care and in-patient rehabilitation for 15 years in Oregon. She became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner through the University of Tennessee in 2006, and is licensed by the NV State Veterinary Board as an Animal Physical Therapist. She joined LVVSC in 2006. I
n her free time, she enjoys doing yard work, hiking, and spending time with her husband at their country home, where they enjoy their adopted disabled dogs and cerebellar hypoplastic cats.
