On Wednesday March 23, 2011 on Swoop’s World Late Night our guest Miles J. Nevin, the Executive Director of The California State Student Association. Miles will give us an inside look into the California State University system and the things that have been affecting parents and students in recent years. Including rising tuition, safety on campus, and the future outlook of the California University system. Miles J. Nevin is Executive Director of The California State Student Association (CSSA). In this role he serves as the senior director of the nation’s largest statewide student association, representing 433,000 students attending the 23 campus California State University (CSU) System to the California Legislature and CSU Board of Trustees. Miles lives in Long Beach and is passionate about education and public policy. In addition to serving as an advisory board member for the Campaign for College Opportunity, Miles also serves as an associated board member of Children Today, Inc., and as an advisory board member of the CSU Long Beach Leadership Resource Center. Miles attended CSU Long Beach where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and is currently finishing his final year at CSU Long Beach’s Graduate Center for Public Policy and Administration.
