Let me start by first expressing how thankful I am for the message of hope, the dream that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had and all that it has meant to our people for so many years. The message that he set fourth was for all to bring his message to light and become his dream as messengers... Dr. King's LEGACY lives uniquely in each of our minds and hearts and we all choose to be messengers of his vision in our own ways. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a fighter and he never gave up to the face of any obstacle. It is importnat not to forget that the most important of all was Dr. Kings commintment to Justice and equality for all...not to be judged by the color of our skin or the gender we are...always remember the fight is long and far from over but with love and respect and a deep responsiblity to each other as THE PEOPLE.. we find the strength to continue on... We THE PEOPLE made our voice heard when we stood up for CHANGE, we United as 1 Voice, who shared and share 1 DREAM brought fourth the change and the Dream that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. lived for and died for.. The Dream and the hope we all shared has come into Reality today as we prepare to welcome President Barrack Obama the 44th President of the United States of America the first African American President "On this day at this Precise Moment Change has come to America" that is and will remain for me the most memorable quote I will ever hear. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's message of hope and unity will be brought fourth not just as a civil rights movement but through the very halls of our own government as well.. He faced so much injustice and hate,,, he fought for what should be he risked and finally gave his life.. so others could be free..He choose to love and understand ..He rejected violence and spread his message of Love and Hope and Faith...With faith his only shield..He marched in protest for the poor of every shade and gender...He stirred a nation's heart and mind...His message still is clear and near...That color is not how we are defined... His Dream is here..It's Reality today....for so many years we as a nation have honored you... and this year 2009 on January 20th, we will see and witness your Dream at Last has come TRUE... Thank you Dr. Martin Luther King Jr... ps... I have a deeper admiration for TEDDY BEARS....BIG Ups to BIG POPPA....loved Notorious "E" 1-19-09
