MiRan Powell is an actress in the Washington DC area where she has performed such roles as Agave in The Bacchae at The Washington Shakespeare Company Avant Bard; Miss Saeki in Kafka On The Shore at Spooky Action Theater, and Helen Sutherland in The Pitmen Painters at 1st Stage. Before taking a hiatus to devote herself full-time to motherhood, she also performed Hideko in the world premiere of John Belluso’s Gretty Good Time at The Kennedy Center and originated the role of Mina in the world premiere of controversial playwright and director Neil LaBute’s adaptation of Dracula.

MiRan attended Smith College, served a mission for her church in Pusan, Korea, and completed her degree in Theatre Arts at Brigham Young University. She currently resides with her family in Leesburg, VA.
