Today's guest is Dr. Marie Steinmetz (MD, DABFP)

Marie Steinmetz, MD is an board certified in Family Medicine, Integrative Medicine and Medical Acupuncture. Dr. Steinmetz transformed the way she practiced medicine and uses a combination of conventional and holistic approaches to healing and wellness.  Her goal is to treat the cause of illness not just treat its symptoms. She is  currently a fellow in Dr. Andrew Weil’s  Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the University of Arizona. Her practice, Steinmetz Medical Associates (www.caringdoc.com), is located in Alexandria, VA, where she treats acute and chronic illness usually stemming from autoimmune, neurotransmitter and gastrointestinal issues such as chronic pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue,  food sensitivities, and other complex conditions in patients from age 5 and up.
