Domestic violence survivors in media, music and art

Part 1 of 2.  I am joined by a new friend, Sara.

She is a recently proclaimed survivor, and since this show, we have begun performing together as a team under the OP Music House umbrella. 

Sara is an artist and dancer; which painfully, lovingly and clearly evidences her transition from dark and shameful to bright and hopeful.

Sara recently was decorated by the Erie County Coalition Against Family Violence for her volunteer work, nominated by both the District Attorney's Office and Buffalo State College. 

Sara brings with her some very beautiful and enlightening music that inspired her, by a woman who also happens to be a survivor, Maria Jose Ugalde Alcazar.
