Bio:  Steven Lenchner of Lenchner Glass is a line producer by day for television programming.  Handling logistics and money may build a career that provides a living, but sometimes we have to feed the soul.  Steve began re-activating his creative fine artist side about 10 years ago when he discovered fused glass.  From his very first class, he knew he was hooked.   It wasn’t long before he had installed kilns in his garage and begun serious study with master glass workers like Linda Ethier, Roger Thomas and Michael Dupile.  Now he has a complete product line which includes elaborate back lit wall murals, kitchen counter tops, jewelry and custom table ware and is actively building his business utilizing a variety of online locations to reach  designers, architects, builders, the general public and any other enthusiasts of beauty who wish to work in a collaborative way.

Topic:    Starting part time as a hobby, founder, Steve Lenchner’shome is now his studio, both for the creation of fused glass items and the display throughout his key living areas.   Fused glass may be a different medium than what you think of when you hear someone works with glass.  In this program, Steve will discuss the physical and creative process involved in his work.   A great portion of Steve’s work involves collaborating with the buyers to create a custom glass piece.  In this talk, Steve will talk about the collaborative experience and you will get a chance to learn as much about the process as Steve himself.   Steve is also teaching introduction to fused glass classes.  If you are looking for information on where and how to learn more about fused glass, this program is an excellent start.
