An online radio show ARCHIVE that is geared toward survivors of any trauma. We are all a survivor or secondary survivor of something; whether it's sexual abuse, domestic violence, chronic illness or cancer, P.T.S.D., Mental Illness, grief...ect, and it is important to understand that we are not alone. We can heal and bring awareness to some of the most personal issues facing this world today. Ginger & Haullie touch on certain topics in these archived broadcasts. Listen to special guest interviews, poetry readings, inspirational music, authors, announcements on festivals, host topic discussions for listeners to call in to, and so much more!! Guest participation and further interviews have been cancelled due to Ginger & Haullie both becoming Mommies at the same time and therefore having little or no time to devote to the Survivor Radio Cafe; however we are appriciative of your continued support & dedication to the shows we have provided. If you would like to contact us in the future please E-mail Ginger Gillenwater at: gethang04@roadrunner.com

Your Survivor Cafe Hosts
Being a survivor herself, Ginger is very active in causes involving child abuse, rape, and domestic violence. In 2005, at the age of 25, she founded the Survivor Alliance, a group of individuals dedicated to bringing about child abuse awareness and how to stop it. In 2006, she became a part of the organization Healing Through Creativity and was elected to the board in 2007. In addition to being a member of the HTC board, she, along with several other individuals, created and are administrators for the HTC message forum that allows individuals to express themselves creatively online and to speak with other survivors of trauma. In addition to the forum, she is a presenter at the annual Healing Through Creativity festival and displays some of her writing along with the many art pieces that are a part of the festival. Furthermore, Ginger is the author of the book “Surviving Jane,” which chronicles the life of a character who was abused in many forms as a child. She is also the author of the upcoming book, “Where do I Belong? Stories for Children of Divorce.” In addition to these activities, she and Haullie are working together on launching “Project: Raise Your Voice,” which will be found on the website www.ourplaceforpeace.com. The website is expected to be launched between the end of 2008 and the beginning of 2009. The project uses writing as a creative outlet and allows participants to put their stories online for the benefit of others. When she is not working within the survivor community, Ginger is a baton twirling instructor, a sport she has been involved in since 1985. She is also self-employed as a freelance writer and freelance internet marketer. She resides with her husband, Joe, and her cat, Lucky.

Haullie is a Survivor of Sexual Assault, Sexual Association Trauma and Domestic Violence. She has been working in the survivor community since 1999. As an advocate she has had the blessed opportunity of speaking out to other survivors at events and has raised money for notable charities for survivors such as RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) and SOAR (Speaking Out About Rape). She vowed never to "shut up!" again when she came together with 14 other survivors of trauma to release the audio documentary 'Voices of Strength' in March of 2006 featuring male and female survivors who tell their stories in an effort to help foster awareness about this very personal worldwide epidemic. She feels no one should feel alone because every survivor has a story to tell and every survivor deserves to be heard. Learning that the power of one voice could shift the movement of many to speak out and save their lives. She runs a web site along with the CD project(s) advocating and providing information to help guide other Survivors like herself along the path of personal empowerment and righteousness. www.voicesofstrength.org Haullie's other projects include a CD compilation for Survivors of Trauma called 'Mindful Lullabies', featuring renowned Indie artists from all over the United States. This was her way of inspiring survivors to use music as a means of connecting with the soul and releasing anger and pain in exchange for hope and understanding. In 2008, Haullie teamed up with Host Ginger Gillenwater to produce the online radio show 'Survivor Radio Cafe'. She hopes to use this venue as a conduit for reaching out to many survivors in the online community and bring awareness as well as a sense of inspiration to all who strive for a life beyond abuse. She is also one of many board members for the annual 'Healing Through Creativity' art festival for survivors of trauma. She now resides in Southern California with her Husband, two cats and dog.
