Black History Month Series: Since its inception in August 2014, Gay's PSA has used the month of February to highlight issues that are prevalent in the black community. This is done in hopes of creating a better understanding of corrective methods that will accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative influences in our communities. This Friday, Dr. Charles Ross, Chair of the African American Studies Program in the Department of History at the University of Mississippi will be on the show with me to help us to understand the racial climate in our country today. Dr. Ross is the most knowledgeable person on Black History that I personally know and I can’t wait for my listeners to receive a little of the wealth of his knowledge.
