In tonight’s episode, “How to Enter, Establish and Evolve in a Career in Radio”, Dr. L.A. Matthews will interview Ulysses ‘Stretch’ Garrett, an accomplished 17 year music veteran. This Baltimore native’s career started off at the young age of 20, in his home city, where he was an intern at the heritage radio station of V-103. Upon graduation from Towson University, he moved to the power station that was 92Q. In 2005, Yahoo! Music called and Stretch became the Head of Urban Programming for Yahoo Music and Video. After 3 years with Yahoo!  he moved to New York and started a career with BET.com as a Content Producer for such shows as Keyshia Cole, The Game, The Deal, and numerous political and news specials. In 2008, he took his talents over to Atlantic Records, where he served as the Digital Marketing Manager for Bad Boy Records. Having the chance to work with Puffy and all of the artists at Bad Boy was a dream fulfilled. This show will focus on guiding people through the process of gaining a career in Broadcast Journalism/Radio and Production.  Radio is here to stay, but some job parameters have radically changed and our expert guests will provide an overview of this evolving yet exciting career!
