Kristi Stone of The Mind to Homestead, shares her ideas with you for keeping rabbits cool during those times when the summer heat is most fierce.

Rabbits are quite fragile creatures, and need our help in creating comfortable and safe living conditions for them. If you are planning to raise them and your climate sees temps over 85 degrees, you will need to have some tools in your toolbox for summer rabbit care.

Misters, fans, and other practical items come into play on Kristi’s homestead, keeping her rabbits 15-20 (and sometimes 25-30) degrees cooler.

Kristi will also share a quick tip on how to make fire starters out of items that you are probably throwing away daily! Tune in to hear Kristi on the Survival Mom Radio Network.
