BEGINING OF A NEW SERIES OF TALK - "Philosophy of Guru Nanak" session#1.  Your Talk Show Host is: Surinder J. Singh (Sj)

Guru Nanak’s philosophy has a universal appeal that holds good for all ages, all cultures, and all people of the world.  Guru Nanak is lesser known in the Western world in comparison to many other saints and philosophers of the Eastern world.  It would be my endeavour to acquaint my Western audience to Guru Nanak, and reaffirm Guru’s sermon to my Eastern audience.

The impact of Guru Nanak on Indian Society during the last 500 years is hard to estimate.   In the field of spirituality and ethics he has deeply influenced the lives, thinking and conduct of millions of people.

India at large and Punjab in particular is very proud of this man of God who was born in their land. But the great Master did not confine his mission to Punjab or India alone, he travelled far and wide to far-off  lands,  and countries. He addressed humanity as a whole for his message of love, peace, devotion to God, social justice, religious tolerance and universal brotherhood of mankind.  For Guru Nanak no country was foreign and no people were alien.
