If you and the person that you were trying to have a child with were unable to have children, because one of you were sterile, or it posed a serious health risk what would you do? Would you consider adopting a child? Do you have any reservations about raising a child that you have no prior connection to? Do you think that the love that you could give would be beneficial for you and your family? Would you be comfortable raising a child that comes from a hereditary background that that you have no history of or with? What about employing someone as a surrogate parent? Could you feel comfortable using someone else's sperm, or using the womb of another woman to carry a child for you and your spouse? What are some of the immediate issues that you think that you would encounter if you used a surrogate? Could you handle something like this, emotionally? Would the rewards outweigh the risks of using a surrogate? What are the rights of a surrogate parent, if there are any? What level of commitment would a couple have to be on if they decided to use a surrogate parent? Would it put a big strain on a relationship to consider using a surrogate parent if there were future problems relating to the child? What would happen if the couple separated sometime down the line?
