Do you take a person as they are if the way that they are is really messed up?

People say that you should take them as they are all the time, but is that realistic? What if they are unhealthy or unkind? Does that still apply?

What if they are on their way to improving themselves, or even ruining themselves?

Why do people think that people should take them as they are even when they know that they have so many holes in there game?

What does taking someone as they are really mean?  Is it just a cliche term?

Should someone take you as you are?

If you don't want to take a person as they are, does that mean that you are being unfair, or selfish?

If you are unwilling to make improvements to yourself, are you being stubborn and selfish too?

Is there a reasonable compromise to taking someone as they are?
