Icylee Basketbill and Kelly Pointer will be our guests on this show to discuss Special Needs and the challenges that the parents of Special needs children face on a daily basis.

Every child born into this world is a blessing and there is nothing that feels as special as bringing a child into this world. We also have to take into account that some children are born into this world with needs that require a different level of attention than the average child.

Historically Special needs children would be labelled as retarded, sick, touched, slow or even freaks. Fortunately we have come very far in our understanding of how the brain functions and we have taken away the negative stigmas and are able to provide the children with the help that they need. The goal is to develop them into fully functional adults that are able to meet life's challenges the same as any other person.

Whether your child is mentally challenged, autistic, has cerebral palsy etc, it's gonna be very tough for a parent mentally, emotionally and especially financially. Our 2 guests will be on hand to help with any questions you may have concerning this such as:

What causes a child to be have special needs?

Is there anything that can be done to prevent it?

What happens if the parent of a special needs child dies before the child or is not physically able to provide care?

Is it normal to feel embarrassment or shame about your child and what can be done about it if you do?

What are the financial requirements needed to take care of a special needs child?

How does the attention needed for a special needs child affect the other children that you have?

There will be so much to talk about on this show so make sure you don't miss it.
