Does this situation ring a bell with you or anyone that you know? Sound familiar in any way?

Many people can relate to this scenario even if they have been separated from a parent for many years or even a lifetime. Often what separates us in this situation is the way that we feel about the way we look or feel in relation to our parents. Do you have a really strong resemblance to one of your parents but find that your ways and actions are more like the other parent even though you may be separated or have never been around that parent? Maybe you've been told that you act just like that parent or have had similar experiences as that parent has had? Is it good? Is it bad? It doesn't have to be that you don't have characteristics like the parent that you favor physically, but perhaps you feel a spiritual connection to one parent or the other. After all, they are your blood relative right?

Is there anything wrong with looking like a parent? Is there anything wrong with acting like a parent?

What if the parent is fat?

What if the parent has a history of drug abuse, physical abuse or infidelity?

What if the parent is ugly?

What if the parent suffers from psychotic episodes? In other words, what if they are crazy?

What this show is really asking is if there is ever a reason to be ashamed of where you come from in relation to your bloodline?

Is there anything we can do to reverse anything negative?

Last but not least, what if the other parent is a step parent? Can you look like them? Can you take after them?
