The world is made of leaders and followers, both of which are interchangeable. Many times what separates the two is who is doing the leading and following at the time. We all have to play either role at some point in our lives and how well we do it will determine which role we remain in longer.

Some people look at being a follower as a weakness. Certainly everyone has to follow at some point because not everyone can lead at the same time. Some people look at being a leader as a strength but we've all seen examples of where leaders have lead people down a destructive path. It may be that being good in either role is the most important thing.

Is it bad to have to be told what to do all the time even if you work very well with instruction? Is there a such thing as a good follower? Can a person lead by following?

Is it bad to want to be in the position of leader all the time even if you seem to thrive under those circumstances? Can a person lead without becoming a tyrant? Do leaders have to learn to follow in order to become leaders or are they just naturals?
