Urban Therapy with Sun #6 An emotional purchase

We call this show An emotional purchase, but we could have called it getting our feelings into it because often the way feel about something will determine how proud of it we are. Sometimes it's the way others feel about it.

When we spend our money, there are times when we put a lot of thought into what we are buying and there times when folks just shop until they drop. Surely the cost of things can often influence the purchases that we make, but some things that we buy are more personal and say things about us that we would like convey. Those will be the things that we will highlight.

An emotional purchase is usually something that we would buy that would define us as a person. Personal products such as makeup, perfume, hair care products, clothing etc . are going to say some things about you in an immediate sense. This is sometimes the corner we would like to paint ourselves in. Ex.: So and so always keeps their hair nice and be smelling so good! There are times when our emotions prompt us to spend more money than usual. Things such as a new home may have a lot to say about how we live and who our associations will be. Where our children will grow up and how they will learn. What if that house is just the house where a loved one grew up? Would we spend more on it than it's actual worth? We just may at times. A new car may symbolize the image (real or false) of the amount we may carrying in our bank accounts. For many, a lot of emotions go into that. Can't be looking broke now can we?
