As much as we all dread it, death is as much a part of life as a birth is. Some people have been faced with the harrowing experience of having to decide to take someone off of life support and letting them pass away. There are people who have requested the right not to be put on life support in the event of a tragic accident. Often the family is left to make the final decision. What would you do if you were the one who had to make the decision to discontinue life support? Could you do it? Do you believe in organ donation? We will explore the way that life support and prolonged treatments have a way of driving up the cost of health care that is rarely examined.
