It is only appropriate that I was born the month that has been selected as Women's History Month, and on the day that a famous American of Native and African heritage took up the banner of liberation. I recall as a child looking at the calender and observing this dark gentleman in a crowd being fired upon. I was informed who he was, and that on March 5, 1770, a fight erupted between a group of Boston ropemakers and three British soldiers. Tensions were ratcheted up further three nights later when a British soldier looking for work entered a Boston pub, only to be greeted by a contingent of furious sailors, one of whom was Chrispus Attucks. So I embrace the strength of freedom and the power of my feminine to celebrate my birthday, TODAY!, as we celebrate ME, Women History Month and Cripus Attucks Day.Call in and Holla at a Sista.
