Success in Sweatpants

It's all about freedom--no excuses! That’s the tagline of Success in Sweatpants, the coaching practice of Trish Lambert. That tagline and that practice name pretty much sum up what Trish is up to, which is helping solo service providers get wildly successful without leaving home. Trish offers a weekly variety of tips, insights and commentary -- all focused on helping solo home business owners get farther faster...without changing out of their sweatpants! This is meant to be a "take along" show...that is, a quick download to your computer or MP3 player so you can listen while you work out, drive, or whatever you do in your day! Links to the sites, resources, and people Trish covers on the show can be found on her site at http://successinsweatpants.net/radio/.

As one BTR door closes, another one opens

My fellow coach and friend Davender Gupta and I have co-hosted a BlogTalkRadio show on almost every Friday for almost a year.  We have hosted other certified Book Yourself Solid coaches to talk about aspects of what I consider the most effective marketing and selling model for solo home business owners. Our guests contributed an enormous amount of experience to create a show archive that is chock full of great information.

This past week, Davender and I decided that the show has played its role to conclusion. After I do the September 4 show, we will put the live show into mothballs. We will, however, leave the archive in place so that this knowledge asset can be accessed.

As the Book Yourself Solid show winds down, I am winding up to start a show of my own. (Oh, yes, I am still co-hosting the Swimbert show every Monday...at least for the near future.) My own show has a different format from either of the shows I've participated in. This show is just me. No guests. No call ins. It is short, between 15 and 20 minutes, and follows a particular sequence: 1) Main topic; 2) a quick business tip; 3) a spotlight on a tool or resource I want to bring to your attention; and 4) a person or company I recommend you follow/friend/check out.

My assumptions are that: a) you have limited time and attention span to spend on listening to a show, b) you are always interested in finding out about "best foot forward" practices for solo home businesses, and c) you are also always on the look out for tools, resources, and contacts that can contribute to your success.

I don't expect the show to be listened to live. Rather, I hope that you will download it into your computer or mp3 player (I will have the show on iTunes as well, by the way) and then listen to it when you are doing something "mechanical," like driving, working out, showering, or just taking a break in your day.

I invite you to be my advisor. Though the show officially launches on September 14, I'm doing (or have done, depending on when you read this) a test run on Monday, August 31. I would LOVE it if you get a chance to give it a listen sometime before the official launch and drop me a line to give me your feedback. After all, the whole point of the show is to contribute to your own success in sweatpants, so your ideas and suggestions are welcome welcome welcome!!!
