Mike Swaha; Master Barber & Educator for Paul Brown Hawaii

The Hair Artist Association, LLC is excited to talk with Mr. Mike Swaha.  Mike has been a professionally licensed master barber since 1987. He apprenticed under Douglas Overfield, National Educator for the NCA. In 1988 Mike opened his own salon in Pennsylvania called Contemporary Cuts, which he still owns and operates.

When it comes to hairstyling skills and techniques, Mike is well known to many within the beauty industry as a master barber.

He also appreciates the importance of education and staying up-to-date on industry trends. Mike works with various trade and vocational schools teaching students the important aspects of hairstyling techniques. Mike has also spent past 10 years as an educator with Paul Brown Hawaii.  He is one of their core educators and is instrumental in the process of developing new products.  He is also responsible, along with other core educators, for training new educators and working with Paul Brown Hawaii's distributors.

Along with carrying Paul Brown Hawaii Products in his salon, Mike is branching out into new realms, including hair retexturizing. According to Mike, “The changes that are happening at Paul Brown Hawaii are so exciting! I am looking forward to a phenomenal year ahead.”
