Does Chip And PIN Really Prevent Credit Card Fraud?

New figures released in the UK show that credit card fraud is up again - substantially - in 2007.

It seems that the introduction of Chip and PIN technology in the UK has caused fraudsters to change their activities. UK credit cards, which have been cloned are being used abroad. This type of crime rose by 77% in 2007. It appears that some of the most popular places to use these cloned cards include Sri Lanka, India and Morocco.

This has contributed to an overall increase in UK credit card fraud of 25%.
