The Shriners are more than just partiers with funny hats. For decades they have been raising and donating money to children that have serious health issues.

In contrast, The Care Fund is a relatively new charity. We're just starting our second year, but already have raised nearly $600,000 to help families with critically ill children meet their housing (rent and mortgage) expenses while they spend countless days and nights at their child's bedside in a hospital. It provides them a much-needed financial helping hand and peace of mind so they don't have to worry about keeping a roof over their heads while they are dealing with the life and death drama facing their child.
The Care Fund is hosting its first golf tournament The Care Fund 2014 Caddyshack Golf Classic on May 10 at McCormick Ranch. We will have a representative of the event as a guest tonight as well.
