Heritage, pride, middleweight supremacy. That was all on the line on Saturday night in las vegas. Didn’t seem to matter all that much for the people judging the fight ring side. Over and over again, we hear people complain about how fixed the sport is. Well after Saturday night, it couldn’t be anymore clearer that it is. If you’ve never stepped into the ring, and put on those gloves, then its hard for us to truly judge how the fight went down. As the great Michael Buffer stepped into the ring, and got the final judges score cards, then came the moment, the moment we've all been waiting for all night, if not, for the last 2 years, 118-110 for Canelo, this  was truly the moment we all realized, this fight could be fixed. Then we heard 115-113 GGG, ok, I said to myself,  I can accept that, but then we heard the final score card, 114-114, a draw! Really? At this moment my jaw just dropped. I couldn’t believe what I had just heard. Let me get one thing clear tho. I wasn’t rooting for GGG, nor Canelo. I am a fan of both, a fan of the sport, all I wanted to see was a fair and clean fight, and that’s what we got, minus the judges score card of course. If you saw the fight, then you saw a GGG that brought the fight to canelo, he was moving forward the whole fight, and had canelo on the ropes for most of the night. We also saw a canelo that, at least in my opinion, weve never seen, it felt like I was watching Money May all over again, defense and run! He never truly brought the fight to GGG. . A draw was the last thing on my mind. The biggest question for me is, why even show compubox numbers (which had GGG landing more punches than canelo) if its not going to help the result at all? GGG clearly out boxed Canelo, and clearly should have won the fight, but instead we got this joke of a result, a draw!!! Saturday night, was truly a sad, and disgusting day for the sport of boxing!!
