We'll also hear today from our youth on what it's like to be inside the juvenile detention camps and their experiences with those who were to serve and protect them!

Save the Kids works outside the criminal justice system to education the public about the punitive justice system and to provide place and space for the voice of youth that are incarcerated. Save the Kids focuses on supporting all youth, but specifically four youth groups  that are the most targeted and stigmatized by the school and juvenile justice systems – (1) Youth of Color, (2) Youth with Disabilities, (3) LGBTTQI Youth, and (4) Youth that are economically disadvantaged.
