Author Glenn K. Graham

In “Sowers of God: The Holes of Mare Frigoris, Part 1 of the Trilogy” (ISBN 1470164183), Glenn K. Graham imagines an apocalyptic future where global warming has wreaked havoc on earth.

The ice sheets of the poles have melted, Scandinavia has been transformed into wine country and polar bears are found only in zoos. Fossil fuels have been utterly depleted save for an African oil reserve occupied by North American Union forces.

With energy supplies stretched thin, scientists and engineers have taken to the moon, engaging in lunar mining that extracts energy through the fusion of Helium-3. The extraterrestrial operation is so lucrative in its energy yield that it allows most countries to continue their lifestyle of unbridled consumption with no holds barred.

An eco-terrorist group known as the Sowers of God, however, is furious about the mining and carries out well-coordinated attacks on the reactors that make useable energy out of Helium-3. A U.S. military general vows to wipe the group off the face of earth and is willing to resort to nuclear options to do so.

Against the backdrop of anti-technological violence and interstellar energy exploitation, a mining operation makes a startling discovery.
