On Today's show: Brad married, Libby and had a life changing idea. Open a Cafe and feed anyone who’s hungry and can’t pay for free! It would be called the SAME Café….Wonderfully Different. SAME stands for “So All May Eat” and to say it is wonderfully different is an understatement. The menus reflect foods that are in season, are nearly 100% organic, from local farmers and of gourmet quality. They are changing people’s lives with an idea so simple, no one had ever done it before. If you wonder how successful this venture has been, the SAME Café just celebrated their 3rd anniversary on October 20, 2009. In the first year and a half, Brad continued to work in his technology job part time, but found it impossible to keep up with the demands of the café as the customer base grew almost daily. Libby finally had to resign from her teaching job in the summer of 2009 to be a full-time employee as well. In the first year, they served 6,910 customers; in the second year of operation, they served 9,938, and in the third year, the number increased to 17,273 hungry people that were able to get a satisfying meal, served with love and dignity. They have received much press coverage for their efforts including being featured in Cooking Light and Readers Digest just to name a few. Most recently, SAME Café was featured on The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. I interview some of the world's most interesting people about life and what they have learned! Tune in and you'll hear the difference. Or Visit StopStressingNow.Com for more upcoming guest information.
