In poll after poll the majority of Americans want the minimum wage increased and unemployment aid extended.  On the other hand Republicans backed by big business and the billionaire Koch Bros. support exchanging prison labor for public works and private jobs, causing Corporate profits to soar.  37 States allow corporations to get rich off prison labor, www.democraticunderground.com/10024034262. According to http//vltp.net  in an article entitled, "Walmart and Alec- Exploiting Prison labor: Beyond Bribes to Foreign Officials & Endorsing Anti-Consumer Laws," many States have begun replacing public and private workers with prisoners; Georgia, Alabama, Washington State and Arizona.
