Unlike those who promise to simply help people “get” what they want, Kute's life work instead reveals to people what they have to give, by liberating who they are most truly and deeply. The focus: Freedom. Kute's own background and experience lay out the blueprint for his approach to liberating others, setting their gifts and greatness free. Born in Ghana, West Africa, his multicultural upbringing as the child of a Japanese mother and Ghanaian father, raised in London, and on 4 different continents de?es all stereotype. The son of a revered spiritual leader, Kute was speaking to his father's congregations, in more than 300 churches, by the age of 8. At the age of 14, he was ordained into his father's ministry and groomed to carry on the family's spiritual legacy. But his heart's truth drew him to separate from his father's ministry and come to Los Angeles in 1995. Kute courageously and daringly, came to America with two suitcases, and a dream seeking out many of the spiritual and self-help icons who inspired him when he was still a boy. He quickly learned that the outside- in approach had to become an inside-out approach. So he decided to create his own process—a process that liberates the individual at the core. This process helps the individual get in touch with who they really. It is a process of breaking free, so that each person can live, give, and share the truest expression of his or her self. This is what he calls “Liberated Living.” According to Kute, once freed of the conditioned responses scripted by family, society, institutions and the media, people are no longer limited to pre-programmed interactions in the course of living. In fact, life becomes an expansive, jazzy improvisation, that he calls “Freefall.”01:06:00Stewart JosephnoSelf Love,Freedom,Overcome Challenges,Adversity,Personal DevelopmentKute Blackson is an utterly unique visionary in the world of human potential. At 1:25 AM on Saturday, May 19, Bevelynn called crying and repeating, "they won't let me see him."  Moments later, a SDPD Sergeant took the phone to explain Bevelynn's oldest son Jaime had been killed near 49th & University Avenue.  Bevelynn had received many calls like this from grieving families through the work she does with the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation.  We both knew that we had to cooperate with the crime scene team protocols.  But all Bevelynn kept saying was, "I want to see him.  I want to touch him." When I arrived at the scene, Bevelynn was pacing behind the yellow police tape while family and friends tried their best to console her.  There was nothing any of us could do to get her to return home, sit down, or cover up as temperatures dropped.  Bevelynn kept repeating, "I want to touch him and don't want to be far away."  The vans from the medical examiners office started arriving.  We all knew it would not be long until Jaime would be taken away.  Shortly after 4:00 AM, Bevelynn and her youngest son Adolfo both yelled out "I love you Jaime" as they carried him into the van. In remembrance of Jaime Bravo Jr. who was fatally wounded on late Friday evening, May 18, 2012 in City Heights. For many people, body image can be closely linked to self-esteem. That's because we tend to care a great deal about how others see us. People also may experience negative comments and hurtful teasing about the way they look from classmates and peers. At times the comments can come from family or a significant other. The fact of the matter is there is no external measurement in this world that can ever calculate the depth of your infinite worth. No scale, no dress size, no height nor weight.Once we understand this we understand that the negative images that you portray in your mind as you are not truly you. You are perfect. You are whole. The truth is inseparable from how you truly are. Yes…..you are the truth. If you look for truth anywhere other than from your inner being you will be deceived every time.Instead of fighting to look a certain way to fulfill an image of what society says you should be….fight to be the best you… The best you believe you should be…valuing your self-worth means that you take control of your Mind, Body and Spirit. The Mind: We captivate our thoughts and release it from the trials of lack, need, and not enough. The Body: We give life to our body through exercise, healthy foods, and proper rest. This is all while enjoying refreshing massages and stretches. The Spirit: Tapping into the inner most “I Am”, the essence of the identity of every man, woman, and life form. 00:33:00Stewart JosephnoTransformation,Inspiration,Action,Advocacy,Peak PerformanceSelf-esteem is a term used in psychology to reflect a person's overall evaluation or appraisal of his or her own worth. Growing up under the discriminatory apartheid laws of South Africa, he was beaten by “white” South Africans for being too black and “black” South Africans for being too white; so, Arun sought eye-for-an-eye justice. However, he learned from his parents and grandparents that justice does not mean revenge, it means transforming the opponent through love and suffering. Grandfather taught Arun to understand nonviolence through understanding violence. “If we know how much passive violence we perpetrate against one another we will understand why there is so much physical violence plaguing societies and the world,” Gandhi said. Through daily lessons, Arun says, he learned about violence and about anger. Arun shares these lessons all around the world. For the past five years, he has participated in the Renaissance Weekend deliberations with President Clinton and other well-respected Rhodes Scholars. This year, some of his engagements included speaking at the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Women’s Justice Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He also delivered talks at the Young President’s Organization in Mexico, the Trade Union Leaders’ Meeting in Milan, Italy, as well as the Peace and Justice Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Sometimes, his journeys take him even further. Arun has spoken in Croatia, France, Ireland, Holland, Lithuania, Nicaragua, China, Scotland and Japan. Also, he is a very popular speaker on college campuses.
