Please join my conversation with, Medearis Dixon, 19-year-old jazz musician who has played music for 10 years but professionally for 5 years.

Medearis plays 13 different instruments, but specialize in piano and saxophone, his main sax is the alto.  His first instrument was the trumpet, which he started in 5th grade and he played with his first jazz musician Darren by middle school.

Later he attended Renton High School where I later was apart of the 6:30 am jazz band, went to the Naacp Afro-Academic Cultural Technological Scientific Olympics of the mind competition (or Act-So) to compete in instrumental contemporary music.

There he met jazz musician Mike phillips, and Dr. Otto Gomez, played with jazz musicians Branford Marsalis, Michael powers, Victor Janusz and much more. His first teacher was named Gary Hamon, and then I later switched on to Jordon Ruwe. Currently he gigs around Seattle just to keep his chops up and look for opportunities to play to crowds at other venues.

This show will showcase the artist and you will hear it all live, "In The Artist’s Own Words."
