Sermon 148 "Saved by Faith Not Law"

False religion says we must work our way into heaven, that we must be more good than bad to have eternal life.

This error in doctrine negates the whole point of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins.

The life of Jesus is what we are to imitate, but the death and resurrection of Jesus is what gives us a home in heaven when we accept that sacrifice.

Even in the Old Testament, nobody was saved by law. Abraham believed God and that faith was what made him righteous spiritually, in the eyes of God.

Let's look at what the New Testament says about living under the law vs. living in the Spirit by faith.
