The Pocket Oxford Dictionary of Current English (1934) says:
2. v.t. Stamp (mark, object, skin), with b., impress indelibly (is branded on my memory).
 
Interesting that this definition was coined in 1934. To impress indelibly … branded on my memory. Isn’t that what we are all trying to do with our business? Don’t we want our business to become top of mind?
 
Too many people think of “brand” being synonymous with logo. True, a logo is part of your brand; quite possibly the last part of the process. However, before we create the logo let’s first talk about some things you need to know about your business.
