The research supports what we have known for years, if you eat less you will be healthier.  There was another bit of data that showed a common theme among centenarians is that they leave food on their plate.  To take this a step further, the quality of the food we eat makes a dramatic difference on our health and longevity.  We know that our country’s rate of heart disease has increased when we have tried to move away from fat in our diet towards an increase in carbohydrates (refined foods and starches).
