E Pluribus Unum - a poem of peace

E Pluribus Unum - a poem of peace

    From a great many souls
    Come together as one
    Calm rising verse
    Of a bright morning sun

    All the world watches
    All carry a share
    Growing resolve
    In burdens to bear

    Many lost thoughts
    From within and without
    Bolster the power
    For another lost bout

    Gathering of believers
    In faith, peace, and light
    Differing perceptions
    Hope deepens the night

    Vision for a future
    Of generations new
    Breathing in each day
    Each dawn's refreshing dew

    Integrity of truth
    Example to behold
    Noon or dark of night
    True selves, standing bold

Faith in the heart of all
    Bolstered by a longstanding vow
Walk in light to serve the world
In peace and calm we bow

    The Universe is watching
    Let's join her high acclaim
    Children of a world
    Renewed in a simple aim

    Days are growing longer
As the seasons change and flow
    Reaching for a higher place
Let peace be all we know

Fate of lives is in our hands
Let's pause for a moment to reflect
    Release the view of difference
No race, No belief, No sect

    All who walk will age
As lessons in time are earned
    Greatest of these, forgiveness
Know peace when it is learned

    Likewise as a people
It's time to end the zeal
    Peace in a newfound day
    As poets choose to heal
