She is also is President and CEO for The Ngambika Academy. She has been a Language Arts teacher and Learning Community Leader (Assistant Principal) within the alternative education system. She went on to earn Primary certification for International Baccalaureate education, working with the International Community School; which sparked her desire to become a greater advocate for young displaced people. Terra in April 2011, published her first children’s book, If Tomorrow Comes and I Am Gone. She was inspired to write a book that would help families and children, who are or have been battling cancer, understand, adjust, and cope with the diagnosis.
She has most recently formed Be The Change Atlanta, which is an intergenerational collaborative of students, professionals, community activists and youth advocates dedicated to empowering youth and demonstrating that all lives matter. Be The Change seeks to engage youth and community members in supporting and inspiring youth to become change agents.
