I have been curious about the diversity within the African Diaspora since the 1950's as a kid growing up in the South Bronx and surrounded by the influx of Puerto Ricans and Cubans. In 1978, still curious, my suspicions were peaked when sitting on a beach in Acapulco, Mexico a Black skinned Mexican boy caught my attention as he ran by kicking sand on my blanket.
It was then that I decided to one day seek answers to the questions that seemed so obvious to me but not to others. In 1992 I began the research on the diversity within the African Diaspora West. Without funding or affiliation with an insititution I sat out to get the truth.
In 2011 things are progressing. For now what I suspected all along others are now shedding light on. It is a major break-through with so much more to be done!
