Mental disorders are common among children in the United States, and can be particularly difficult for the children themselves and their caregivers. While mental disorders are widespread, the main burden of illness is concentrated among those suffering from a seriously debilitating mental illness. Just over 20 percent (or 1 in 5) children, either currently or at some point during their life, have had a seriously debilitating mental disorder.
Parents have we thought about what we are doing in the privacy of our households each and every day, the so called routine of it all, packing lunches while you spread your Nutella or scramble some eggs before work and school or maybe you were already out the door before your Child had left to start his day then were you left to feel guilty yet confident, or were you worried as heck knowing they were a ticking time bomb just waiting for the perfect time to set them off.
