    Journaling for Life

    Journaling for Life

    As much as I stress the importance of Journaling, I'd like to stress the reasons why it's so important. I've learned over the years that talking to yourself is one of the most important things you can do. Writing it out in your own personal Journal is a form of talking to yourself. Over the years I've started (and stopped, and started again) many Journals.  The one constent is that I've learned something about myself when reviewing each one of these books.  I learned that I'd grown.  I learned that I'd made some mistakes over and over again.  Most importantly I've learned...that I've learned! Many of these things I would never have appreciated had I not had something to reflect on.

    As a part of my Journaling system I challenge the writer to write for 30 days. At the end of the 30 days I ask them to go back over the Journal from page one.  Small or large, they realize they have learned something, solved something and gained something. Because these things do happen on an ongoing basis but the truth is we are so bogged down with the business of life that we tend to overlook them.
