On Sunday March 5th from 1-3 pm (EST) WORDS MAKE PEOPLE will discuss: "President Trump overlooks hate crimes against Muslim Americans" with special guest Imam Ayman Abdul Mujeeb of Los Angeles, CA. Join us by calling (714) 816-4673 -- then press 1 to talk to host.
In his address before Congress President Trump said, “Tonight, as we mark the conclusion of our celebration of Black History Month, we are reminded of our Nation's path toward civil rights and the work that still remains. Recent threats targeting Jewish Community Centers and vandalism of Jewish cemeteries, as well as last week's shooting in Kansas City, remind us that while we may be a Nation divided on policies, we are a country that stands united in condemning hate and evil in all its forms.”
How did Mr. Trump overlook the recent arson fires of American masjids (mosque)? On Feb. 21, 2017 a mosque was set on fire in Tampa, Florida, the third burning of a mosque in the Tampa, Florida area in the last 12 months. In Jan. 2017 a mosque in Bellevue, Washington was torched. A suspect was arrested.
A mosque in Victoria, Texas was burned to the ground on Jan. 29 2017 three weeks after another masjid (mosque), the Islamic Center of Lake Travis was set afire by arsonist.
Mr. Trump could not find it in his mind and heart (nor the minds and hearts of his speech writers) to include the pain and suffering of Muslims in his speech to “unite” all Americans.
However, Mr. Trump had no difficulty mentioning the titles “Muslims” and “Islam” when it came to describing Americas “enemies”.
