Elder Hour

Star Nations Radio Network is honored to share a visit with Potawatomi Elder, Mrs. Florence Camacho again for Elder Hour. Mrs. Camacho is 93 years old soon to be 94. In this Elder Hour, Mrs. Camacho will share her wisdom and experience as a young child in an Indian Mission School near Wittenburg, WI. She will share with you what it was like for her as a child to live away from home during the late 1920’s and early 1930’s.  You are invited to hear the stories and wisdom from the heart with Neshi and her mother, Mrs. Camacho.

Storyteller Hour

Join Denise Iwaniw for an hour of storytelling.  This week's guest storyteller is Denise's mother, Lois Edgar Cronk.  Born in the town of Newberry, in the beautiful and native upper peninsula of Michigan, Lois is of French/Canadian and Scottish descent.  She and Denise are currently co-authoring a book for adopted children and their families entitled, "Earth is My Mother, My Father the Stars:  The Journey of and Adopted Child." A huge fan of and inter-tribal dancer at the Rendezvous in the Straits Pow Wow in St. Ignace, Michigan, a lifelong military wife, devoted mother and grandmother, Lois will be telling tales from long, long ago, and far, far away.
