This week the Star Chamber Show brings you author and scholar Miguel Viscarra!  His visit comes just two days after the latest Southern Haunts anthology, Devils in the Darkness, featuring Miguel's story "And There was Nothing Left but Ash" had its cover art revealed.

Miguel will be entering the star chamber to discuss writing, horror, and all kinds of things just a day before his new story is released with the eBook version of Southern Haunts: Devils in the Darkness!

Miguel Viscarra is a 28-year-old sociologist from Alamogordo, New Mexico. Born and raised in southern New Mexico, Miguel has always been fascinated with New Mexico’s many haunted and paranormal venues and landmarks.

Currently, Miguel is working as the Interim Director of the Academic Support Center at New Mexico State University – Alamogordo, an academic institution in which he graduated with honors acquiring a preliminary degree in social services.  Miguel continued to meritoriously acquire a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the NMSU main campus in Las Cruces, NM, which is also where he is finishing a master’s degree in the same discipline.

Miguel’s favorite pastimes include spending time with his family, friends, art, music, literature, video games, and all things horror. Recent gendered ventures into the horror genre and academia prompted Miguel to study the classic horror theories of Julia Kristeva, Barbara Creed, Linda Williams, Carol J. Clover, and Sue Short.

So get ready to meet a fascinating individual and talented author, when Miguel Viscarra enters the Star Chamber this Wednesday night at 9pm EST!
